Thanks for this great video! I am more and more ditching Google - youtube seems the hardest part (especially for Dutch content). I also like the BRAVE- broswer filosofy, but add-ons still need to be installed via chrome store? How do we feel about this?

Hey Henry.... I got a bit of an issue here... (Not with the de-googling, but rather, your alternative recommendations): https://pleroma.cloud/notice/ABLusp2U76MgqonPjU I'm just saying, and like I say in the last stanza there, "If it ain't soup yet..." The very important link to do all this is google.com/takeout - that#s where you get all your data, when you want to keep and transfer it. All the rest is ... wherever you go!

I tried to de-google. I could not let go of Keep, Contacts, and Maps. I could not find suitable replacements that I was happy with, was able to understand, didn't require a wiki to setup. I fully support FOSS but for me, its hard. Really hard. I swear the wiki explains things like I have PhD in computer science. I need a wiki for the wiki.

Thanks for your great videos, i really learn a lot from them and hope you keep going! However: Maybe you could add liberapy as an additional option to support you, since it is - contrary to patreon - open-source and non-profit? https://en.liberapay.com/ And it would be great, if you could do a video on the Fediverse (or, espacially, about its largest project mastodon to help spread that as an good alternative to Twitter, Facebook, Insta etc.): https://joinmastodon.org/
